Things I want to change about myself:
One:
I take things really personally. No matter what it is. If someone cracks a joke, makes up a name I don't like, or does anything I can take as negativity for me I take it really personally make a huge deal out of nothing. It really bugs me and I feel like it pulls me away from a lot of people too. This is one thing I really want to change about myself. I need to learn to not take everything so seriously and laugh a little.
Two:
I need to not get so defensive about things. I'm sure most of you know that I don't take constructive criticism very well or any criticism at all really. I will fight to the death trying to defend myself when really I should just shut the fuck up and say "OK, I'll work on it". Is that really such a hard thing to do? Apparently it is! This is probably the one thing I want to change more than anything else... Everyone ALWAYS tells me to not get so defensive. I also feel like people tend to pull away from me when I get like this too...
I dunno why I felt so inclined to talk about these things but I feel like most of the friends I've made so far since college have always told me either one of the two things above so I want to change that!
